Beauty Perspective

What is beauty?
Beauty can be anything. Everyone has a different view of beauty perspective. Your lips might be your beauty, your hair, face, hands or even your inner soul. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. No one is ugly. Now don`t judge, some people can be beautiful in the inside and shine out which makes them beautiful from within.

Is beauty everything? God created each and every person in a very special way. She might have the perfect lips, or body, but you are not left out. You are beautiful in your very own special way. Embrace your beauty. Acknowledge it.

VDL LUMILAYER PRIMER REVIEW

Hello!
I`m finally back to my blogging mode after 12345431987345701345834597 years.
I decided to start off the first post with one of my favourite brands that I have recently encountered.

VDL cosmetics is a korean mid-range brand that was founded by The Colour Lab of LG Household and Healthcare in Korea. I went into one of the stores myself in Korea and I was amused by the extensive range of innovative beauty products. As I said, they`re mid-range brands that are comparable to Laneige prices (20,000 won to 50,000 won). They are more of the makeup industry side rather than skincare.

VDL lumilayer primer started to gain its popularity since mid-year last year with all the beauty sphere hyping up this product. I wasn't an avid primer person to begin with. Depending on my mood, I only use primers when I need long lasting makeup throughout the day. Otherwise, neh... Our skin is like a canvas, if the canvas is smooth so is our makeup. Many tend to neglect the importance of prepping the skin (this includes myself).

Okay, get ready for some geeky moments! It's called the 'lumilayer' because it uses violet lightflects technology (which are violet pigments) to even out the skin tone and thus radiant and healthy looking skin. By studying the wavelength of the violet light, the products allows multiple layering without removing the skins glow. Because of this, it's suitable for all skin type (dry to oily) depending on ones need. I did some research and tried to convert this into a simpler way. LOL. I usually mixed it with a 1:1 ratio with my foundations and it's more than enough to make my skin stayed moisturised and glowy the whole day.

My recent purchase with this product has made my perception towards primers a whole new level. Ditch those oil controlling matte looking primers. Glowy and healthy looking skin is the IN trend now. My first impression with this product was okay because I was in a rush tested it out on the back of my hand. Smelled relatively pleasant with a tinge of shimmer particles. They were having buy 2 free 1 promotion in store and since I heard abundant of reviews about it, I just bought them. It is very watery, looks white from the bottle but once blended out it gives this nice glowy effect. I have combination skin and I have tried this product in both humid and dry country. Surprisingly enough, it doesn't make my skin feel oily at all and leaves a moisturised feeling.

I didn't try this product just by itself because primers are supposed to go along with foundations. I did some test with foundations, bb and cc creams and it works just as fine for all. I have to give some credibility on its design, simple and comes with a pump! High 5 to products with pump.

Simple glass packaging that comes with a pump.

Not so clear, but you can see the slight shimmers

별에서 온 그대 'You Who Came from the Stars', Cheon Song-yi`s lip makeup feat Peripera Peri`s Tint Crayon

Hi!
Okay, to start off first, I`m not a professional makeup artist nor I`m an naturalistic when comes to korean makeup. Thank you for visting and I hope you all do enjoy my blog. Without further or do, let`s start! I bet everyone has watched the infamous Korean drama 별에서 온 그대 'You Who Came from the Stars'. Everyone is going gaga about Cheon Song-yi`s lip makeup. As far as I know, most of the lip product brands that she use in the drama are pretty expensive. I found an alternative for that as I was browsing some makeup the other day.

Featuring: Peripera, Peri`s Tint Crayon (#1 Fruity Pink)
This is actually my first Peripera product. I have seen Peripera in stores for quite sometime  but I used to be quite skeptical about it. Not sure why, maybe the packaging didn't really attract me or I wasn't really impressed with their first launched water tints.

REVIEW:
PROS:
*Pencil like tip which makes precise application favorable
*Pigmented
*Creamy and moisturising
*Long lasting power

CONS:
*Not readily available in every country
*Tends to be too sticky if you are living in a humid country
*The cap tends to transfer some of the product around the crayon packaging if not properly closed

Colour:
This crayon is highly pigmented, a little goes a long way. #1 Fruity pink is fresh baby pink colour that is not too overpowering. However, if you have yellow undertone, it is best of apply in a gradient lip effect or else it makes you skin look dull.

Texture and moisture level:
It`s really CREAMY! It doesn't fell sticky or too balmy. The texture alone itself is really moisturizing and it didn't dry out my lips like some other crayons. I feel that it  is comparable to the Revlon`s Kissable Lip Stain. It hydrates my lips well. I tend to have dry lips occasionally, and most of the lip products make my lips crack. This is why recently I have been reaching out for this product when I`m on the go.

Scent:
Okay, in terms of scent it is really hard to describe. I`m a person that doesn't really have much comment on a product when it comes to the smell. However, I`m not that fond of smells that are too tangerine-y. And guess what, this product does not have any significant smell and the scent is quite bearable. Taste okay, I would say.

Lasting power: I have to give thumbs up for this product because it has a very long lasting power (up to 5-7 hours- without eating and drinking). Even after it fades, my lips looks like natural baby pink lips!

Price: The price is pretty affordable if you are purchasing it in Korea. I couldn't remember how
much I bought it already (should be not more than 14,000Won / 14USD)

Final verdict: 4/5

Recomend? YES/ NO?
YES OF COURSE!
